Bryan is beginning his first year coaching baseball, but by no means is Bryan new to the game. He played all throughout his childhood, into high school, and through college. Bryan was a right-handed pitcher and received a scholarship from UNC Greensboro entering his senior year of high school. Bryan took a red shirt at UNC Greensboro his freshman season and transferred to Georgia Perimeter College, where he played for one year. After his one year at GPC, Bryan received a scholarship offer from Georgia State University where he would finish the last three years of his playing career, graduating in 2018.
Bryan played the majority of his travel ball years at East Cobb Baseball and finished his travel career with the 18u East Cobb Yankees. The Yankees went 56-4 that year, leading Coach Beaver’s team to its best summer to date. The ECB Yankees ended that year by winning the Connie Mack World Series in Farmington, NM where Bryan was the winning pitcher of the Championship Game. Bryan was also a member of the 643 DP organization at 15U and 16U, winning the 15u Perfect Game WWBA National Championship in 2010.
In addition to coaching baseball, Bryan also has a full-time job in the IT industry with CMIT Solutions of Northwest Georgia. CMIT Solutions is a family operated company that includes Bryan, his father, his brother-in-law, and their full-time technician. The company is a fully managed IT service provider for small to medium sized businesses in the Northwest Georgia area. This career provides Bryan with the needed flexibility in his schedule so he could join the Georgia Bombers staff and give back what he has learned from the game.
Bryan will be the Assistant Coach under Nick Blount for the Georgia Bombers 13u and 15u teams for the 2020-2021 season. He resides in Marietta, Ga with 2 of his best friends from high school.
